Advice and On Site Support

We offer an advisory service to clients. This is a telephone based service, supported by email where necessary. We are able to give answers or advice on any problem from queries on the national minimum wage to more complex disciplinary or reorganisational issues. Where matters are more complex such as a large scale redundancy then we can meet with clients to provide comprehensive advice face to face. Where required we may also provide support to the client by accompanying them at disciplinary, grievance, or redundancy meetings or conduct investigatory interviews on their behalf.

Employment Documentation

We produce employment documentation for our clients. This includes contracts of employment, policies, procedures and staff handbooks. We also provide forms for administering and recording various HR matters relating to the employment of individuals. We have an extensive library of such documents which we tailor to suit the needs of clients. We also review policies and procedures for organisations with their own documentation and offer support in updating such material.

Training

We conduct training on behalf of clients on any employment law or industrial relations matter. Often organisations require training on dealing with disciplinary and grievance matters for their managers. Sometimes the training includes courses on new legislation for the client’s HR Department. The training provided is tailored to suit the needs of the client. The courses are interactive and real examples from the workplace and or employment tribunal cases are used to give the training practical reality. The aim is to ensure learning and that the objectives of the training set by the client are met.

Handling Reorganisations and TUPE Transfers

We provide support for clients in dealing with complex and or large scale redundancies, reorganisations and or TUPE transfers. This includes advice, on site support, meetings with employees and trade unions, conducting briefings, assisting with negotiations and providing support in terms of relevant documentation. We are also experienced at dealing with industrial action.

Employment Tribunals

We have comprehensive experience in dealing with employment tribunals and in dealing with the appellate courts. The service we provide includes preparing and submitting responses on behalf of clients in defence to any claim made. Where appropriate seeking to settle the case on advantageous terms for the client. Where necessary dealing with any interlocutory matters, preparing the case for hearing and representing the client at the employment tribunal.

We also have a partner relationship with an insurance company who can arrange legal expenses insurance for our clients to help protect them against the costs of employment tribunal claims and any awards made.
